Astrid Van den Bosch, (1965) is a Belgian Artist, born in Deurne near Antwerp.
Although Astrid painted “her whole life”, she truly began her artistic career in her forties. She creates mostly large abstract paintings using with different media to create depth, texture and emotion. Her work is colourful and bold with a feeling of strength and personality.
Astrid is inspired by the nature around her native Antwerp with focus on balance, something she strives for in many aspects of her life. When she is not painting in her studio, Astrid can be found enjoying life in Italy, waterskiing in Piedmonte, Lago di Viverone or reading a book at home.
